لا تحتوي Monster Hunter Wilds على قائمة تعديلات داخل اللعبة: التعديلات ملفات لنسخة الحاسوب على Steam تُضاف إلى مجلد اللعبة. يعمل معظمها عبر REFramework، وهو مُحمِّل نصوص برمجية يوضع في مجلد اللعبة، أو يُثبَّت باستخدام Fluffy Mod Manager، وتذكر صفحة كل تعديل على Nexus Mods ما يحتاج إليه.
تعرض شاشة العنوان إصدار اللعبة المثبّت، وهو حاليًا Ver. 1.042.00.02. قد يتوقف بعد تحديث العنوان (Title Update) عمل التعديلات المصنوعة لإصدار سابق وREFramework نفسه. إذا لم تبدأ اللعبة بعد تحديث، تنصح Capcom بإزالة كل التعديلات والتحقق من ملفات اللعبة في Steam.
