Monster Hunter Wilds nie ma własnego menu modów: mody to pliki dla wersji PC na Steam, dodawane do folderu gry. Większość działa przez REFramework, program ładujący skrypty umieszczany w folderze gry, albo instaluje się je przez Fluffy Mod Manager; strona każdego moda w Nexus Mods podaje, czego potrzebuje.

Ekran tytułowy pokazuje zainstalowaną wersję gry, obecnie Ver. 1.042.00.02. Title Update może sprawić, że mody stworzone dla wcześniejszej wersji, a także sam REFramework, przestaną działać.
