Monster Hunter Wilds non ha un menu delle mod: le mod sono file per la versione PC su Steam, aggiunti alla cartella del gioco. La maggior parte funziona tramite REFramework, un caricatore di script posto nella cartella del gioco, oppure si installa con Fluffy Mod Manager; la pagina Nexus Mods di ogni mod indica ciò che le serve.
La schermata del titolo mostra la versione installata del gioco, attualmente Ver. 1.042.00.02. Un Title Update può impedire il funzionamento delle mod create per una versione precedente e dello stesso REFramework. Se il gioco non si avvia dopo un aggiornamento, Capcom consiglia di rimuovere tutte le mod e di verificare i file di gioco su Steam.
